Morning Prayer for February 26
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD.
Today’s takeaway: Take time to examine your heart before God and confess whatever you find.
Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.
Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies. I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.
Let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
We have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins
Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; And having an high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
Prayer
O LORD, let me search and test my ways this morning and turn back to You. Examine me and prove me; try my heart and my mind. You want truth in the inward parts. I think on my ways and turn my feet toward Your testimonies without delay. If I confess my sins, You are faithful to forgive and cleanse me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
