Morning Prayer for February 21

About 2–3 minutes · 11 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

I am the LORD which sanctify you.

Today’s takeaway: God is the One who makes you holy, setting you apart to belong to Him.

I am the LORD your God, which have separated you from other people.

And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.

Sanctified by God the Father

Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

The very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus … that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.

Our Saviour Jesus Christ; … gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren

For their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

Through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ

Prayer

LORD, You are the One who makes me holy. You separated Your people from the nations to be Your own. I am sanctified by God the Father and preserved in Jesus Christ. Sanctify me through Your truth; Your word is truth. God of peace, make me holy through and through, spirit, soul, and body, today. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
