Morning Prayer for February 13
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
Upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.
Today’s takeaway: Jesus is fully human and fully God, and He lives forever at the Father's right hand.
The man Christ Jesus
Made in the likeness of men: … found in fashion as a man
Forasmuch … as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death
I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore
Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?
He raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places
In him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
Though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God
Prayer
Lord Jesus, Ezekiel saw a Man on the throne, and You are that Man. You became flesh and blood, and You understand my weakness from the inside. You are alive forevermore. This morning I bring You the part of my life where I feel most human and most weak. Be my brother in it, and my King over it. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
