Morning Prayer for December 6

About 2–3 minutes · 8 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

It is God which worketh in you

Today’s takeaway: Every good thing in you is God's work, so give Him the credit.

Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God

A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.

No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever

Do not err, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us.

Prayer

Father, it is You who works in me. I am not sufficient in myself; my sufficiency is from You. No one can receive anything unless it is given from heaven, and no one can come to Christ unless You draw him. Every good and perfect gift comes from You. I am Your workmanship, created for good works. You have done all my works in me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
