Morning Prayer for December 18
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Today’s takeaway: Come boldly to God's throne of grace, and bring Him every need with thanks.
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain
Having therefore, … boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; And having an high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
We may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
Prayer
Abba, Father, I come boldly to the throne of grace this morning to find mercy and grace for today. You have not given me a spirit of fear but the Spirit of adoption. You never told anyone to seek You in vain. I have boldness to enter by the blood of Jesus. I bring my requests to You with thanksgiving. You are my helper; I will not fear. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
