Morning Prayer for December 13
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
Be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
Today’s takeaway: Be strong in Christ's grace, grow deep roots in Him, and overflow with thanks.
Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power
As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
Trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
Built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.
Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
Fight the good fight of faith
In nothing terrified by your adversaries
Prayer
Lord Jesus, help me be strong in the grace that is in You. As I received You, let me walk in You, rooted and built up and established in the faith. Make me a tree of righteousness, planted by You, for Your glory. Your word of grace is able to build me up. Fill me with the fruits of righteousness. Help me fight the good fight of faith without fear. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
