Morning Prayer for August 29

About 2–3 minutes · 7 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

Whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he.

Today’s takeaway: Those who trust the LORD are happy, because He upholds them even when they stumble.

Staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

The children of Judah prevailed, because they relied upon the LORD God of their fathers.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea

It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.

The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.

O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.

Prayer

LORD, whoever trusts in You is happy. Judah prevailed because they relied on You. Abraham did not stagger at Your promise; he was fully persuaded. It is better to trust in You than to put confidence in people. You are my refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Order my steps today, and hold me up if I stumble. I have tasted, and You are good. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
