Morning Prayer for August 28

About 2–3 minutes · 8 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

The accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. … they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony

Today’s takeaway: Satan accuses, but Christ has answered every charge, so you can stand in His victory.

Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly

That through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

In all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

And take … the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God

Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Prayer

Father, the accuser is cast down. Who can bring any charge against me? You are the One who justifies. When accusing thoughts come today, from others or from my own mind, help me answer them with the cross. I put on Your whole armor and take up the sword of the Spirit this morning. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
