Thou shalt make a plate of pure gold, and grave upon it, like the engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO THE LORD.

Today’s takeaway: Only in Christ can you come near a holy God and find grace in time of need.

Holiness, without which no man … see the Lord

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags

I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified.

Come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Prayer

Holy God, the high priest wore a gold plate engraved Holiness to the LORD. Without holiness no one will see You, and my own righteousness is like filthy rags. But Jesus sanctified Himself for my sake, so that I might be made holy through the truth. I have a great High Priest who has gone into the heavens. Through Him I come boldly for grace today. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
