Evening Prayer for August 26
Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.
God’s Word
My cup runneth over.
Today’s takeaway: Your cup overflows with God's goodness, so learn to be content in every situation.
O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.
His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot. The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
Whether … the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are your’s
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ
I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
Godliness with contentment is great gain.
My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

What blessings can you count before you sleep?
Prayer
Father, my cup runs over. I have tasted and seen that You are good. Your compassions fail not; they are new every morning. You are my portion, and You maintain my lot. You have blessed me with every spiritual blessing in Christ. I have learned, in whatever state I am, to be content, and godliness with contentment is great gain. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
