Morning Prayer for April 9

About 2–3 minutes · 7 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

Fear not: for I have redeemed thee

Today’s takeaway: Do not be afraid, because God has redeemed you and blotted out your sins.

Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more. For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel

I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.

With the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot

Their Redeemer is strong; the LORD of hosts is his name: he shall throughly plead their cause

My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.

Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Prayer

Faithful God, You tell me not to fear, because You have redeemed me and called me by name. You have blotted out my sins like a thick cloud. I was bought with the precious blood of Christ. My Redeemer is strong, and He will plead my cause. No one can pluck me out of Your hand. Christ gave Himself to rescue me from this present evil world. Let me walk free today. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
