Morning Prayer for April 8
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
Every thing ye are enriched by him
Today’s takeaway: Everything you need for a fruitful life is found in Christ, so stay close to Him.
When we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall … not with him also freely give us all things?
In him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
To will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
Unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom
Prayer
Lord Jesus, when I was without strength, You died for me. In You I am complete, and in You I have been made rich in everything. On my own the will to do good is there, but the power is not. So I abide in You this morning, the way a branch stays in the vine. Let Your words live in me richly, and let me bear fruit today. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
