Morning Prayer for April 6

About 2–3 minutes · 7 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

He ever liveth to make intercession

Today’s takeaway: Jesus is in heaven right now, pleading your case before the Father.

Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, … who also maketh intercession for us.

Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us

If any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous

There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus

Seeing … that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Through him we … have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

Prayer

Father, Christ is in heaven right now, appearing in Your presence for me. He always lives to make intercession. Who can condemn me, when Christ died, rose again, and prays for me at Your right hand? When I sin today, I have an Advocate with You. So I will not hide from You this morning. Through Him, by one Spirit, I have access to You, and I come. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
