Morning Prayer for April 5

About 2–3 minutes · 8 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.

Today’s takeaway: Hold on to God in prayer and ask Him to stay with you and bless you.

Let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me; and he shall make peace with me.

O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt.

According to your faith be it unto you.

Let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

They drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further. But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us

He vanished out of their sight. And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: … My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.

Prayer

Lord, like Jacob I will not let You go unless You bless me. You honored the woman who kept asking, and You told the blind men it would be done according to their faith. Keep me from wavering like a wave of the sea. Show me Your way today, so that I may know You. Let my heart burn within me as You open the Scriptures to me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
