Morning Prayer for April 4
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
Fear not; I am the first and the last
Today’s takeaway: Through Jesus you can come boldly to God's throne and find grace when you need it.
Ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest
But ye are come unto mount Sion, … to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant
Jesus the author and finisher of our faith
We have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Art thou not from everlasting, O LORD my God, mine Holy One?
Who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God?
Prayer
Lord Jesus, You are the First and the Last, and You tell me not to be afraid. I have not come to a mountain of fire and darkness, but to Mount Zion, the city of the living God, and to You, the Mediator of a new covenant. You are touched by my weaknesses. So I come boldly to the throne of grace this morning for mercy and for help. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
