Morning Prayer for April 30
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
Whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected
Today’s takeaway: Keeping God's Word is how His love grows full in you.
The God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
Prayer
God of peace, You brought our Lord Jesus back from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep. Make me complete in every good work to do Your will today, working in me what pleases You. I want to keep Your word, not to earn Your love but because Your love is being made perfect in me. Jesus promised that You would come and live with those who love Him. Live in me today. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
