Morning Prayer for April 24
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
The LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken.
Today’s takeaway: God always keeps His word, just as He did for Sarah and for Israel.
Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us.
David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.
God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land unto the land which he sware to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.
I have seen, I have seen the affliction of my people which is in Egypt, and I have heard their groaning, and am come down to deliver them.
He brought them out, after that he had shewed wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red sea, and in the wilderness forty years.
There failed not ought of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.
He is faithful that promised
Hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
Prayer
Faithful God, You visited Sarah just as You said, and You did for her what You had promised. Not one good thing You spoke to Israel failed. There is something I have been waiting on You for. I pour out my heart before You this morning, and I choose to trust You to keep Your word in Your time. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
