Morning Prayer for April 23
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
The LORD was my stay.
Today’s takeaway: Do not rest your hope on anything but the LORD, your rock and deliverer.
Truly in vain is salvation hoped for from the hills, and from the multitude of mountains: truly in the LORD our God is the salvation of Israel.
The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.
The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms
So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God? It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.
By the grace of God I am what I am
Prayer
LORD, You are my stay. Salvation does not come from the hills or from anything I can climb; it comes from You alone. You are my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer. Your angel camps around those who fear You, and underneath are the everlasting arms. You gird me with strength. Whatever good is in me today, by the grace of God I am what I am. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
