Morning Prayer for April 18

About 2–3 minutes · 7 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee

Today’s takeaway: Jesus is the gentle Mediator greater than Moses, so learn from His humble heart.

Stood between the LORD and you at that time, to shew you the word of the LORD: for ye were afraid

There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus

(Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men

Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, Moses stood between the LORD and the people because they were afraid. You are the greater Prophet, the one Mediator between God and me. Moses was meek, but You are meek and lowly in heart, and You invite me to learn from You. Let Your mind be in me today. Give me Your humility with people who try my patience, and give me rest for my soul. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
