Morning Prayer for April 17
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me
Today’s takeaway: Offer God praise in everything you say and do today.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
Ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, … that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light
Ye … as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
By him … let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.
Prayer
Father, let the first thing I offer You today be praise. Whoever offers praise glorifies You. I am part of a royal priesthood, called to show forth the praises of the One who brought me out of darkness. Let Your word dwell in me richly. Let the fruit of my lips give thanks to Your name, and let whatever I do today be done in the name of the Lord Jesus. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
