Morning Prayer for April 15
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
Their Redeemer is strong
Today’s takeaway: Your sins may be many, but your Redeemer is mighty to save and never lets go.
I know your manifold transgressions and your mighty sins
I have laid help upon one that is mighty
The LORD … thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
Mighty to save.
Able to keep you from falling
Where sin abounded, grace did much more abound
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
He is able … to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him
Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem?
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, You know my many transgressions and my mighty sins. But help was laid on One who is mighty, and You are mighty to save. Where sin abounded, grace abounded much more. Your hand is not too short to redeem. You are able to save completely and to keep me from falling. Nothing in all creation can separate me from the love of God in You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
