Morning Prayer for April 13

About 2–3 minutes · 7 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase

Today’s takeaway: Give God the first and best of what you have, because Christ gave Himself for you.

He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him

God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

I beseech you … brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

The love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

Prayer

LORD, I want to honor You with what I have and with the firstfruits of all my income. Keep me from giving to You sparingly. You are not unjust to forget my labor of love. I present my body, my time, and my money to You as a living sacrifice. Whether I eat or drink or whatever I do today, let me do it all for Your glory. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
