Morning Prayer for April 10
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee.
Today’s takeaway: In yourself you are a sinner, but in Christ God sees you as washed and beautiful.
Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
Thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD.
I am a sinful man, O Lord.
Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair
I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.
When I would do good, evil is present with me.
Be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.
I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing
Ye are complete in him
Perfect in Christ Jesus
Ye are washed, … ye are sanctified, … ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
That ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light
Prayer
Lord, when I look at myself honestly, I see sin. Like Peter I have to say that I am a sinful man. When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. But You look at me in Christ and call me fair, with no spot. I am washed, sanctified, and justified in the name of the Lord Jesus. Let me show forth Your praises today. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
