Evening Prayer for May 14

About 2–3 minutes · 7 Scripture passages (KJV)

Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

God’s Word

They overcame … by the blood of the Lamb

Today’s takeaway: Jesus' blood answers every charge against you, so no one can condemn you.

Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died

It is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

I am the LORD. And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you

There is … no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus

What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? … These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Before you pray

What accusation against you tonight has already been answered by the blood of Christ?

Prayer

Father, on the night of the Passover, when You saw the blood on the doorposts, You passed over that house. Tonight I rest under the blood of Your Son. Who can bring any charge against me? You are the One who justifies. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. He loved me and washed me from my sins. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
