Evening Prayer for March 22

About 2–3 minutes · 8 Scripture passages (KJV)

Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

God’s Word

If so be the LORD will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the LORD said.

Today’s takeaway: Face hard tasks in the strength the Lord gives, knowing He is with you.

He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.

The work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

Stand … having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

The LORD is with thee

Go in this thy might

Before you pray

What giant in your life do you need to face in the Lord's strength?

Prayer

LORD God, Caleb was old when he asked for the hill country, and he trusted that if You were with him, he would be able. You are with me too, and You will never leave me. I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD. Tonight, give me the quietness and assurance that righteousness brings. Tomorrow, send me out in Your might. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
