Evening Prayer for March 18
Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.
God’s Word
His name shall be in their foreheads.
Today’s takeaway: The Lord knows those who are His and has sealed them as His own.
I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep
The foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
After that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance
Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
This is the name wherewith she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness.

Prayer
Good Shepherd, You know Your sheep, and You know me. The Lord knows those who are His, and that foundation stands firm tonight. You have sealed me with the Holy Spirit of promise, the guarantee of what is still to come. Help me turn away from what is wrong. You are the LORD my righteousness, and I rest in You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
