Evening Prayer for March 14
Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.
God’s Word
The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
Today’s takeaway: God's Word gives life and keeps you clean, so hide it in your heart tonight.
Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth
The letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
Christ … loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing
Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
Thy word hath quickened me.
Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
I will not forget thy word.
I trust in thy word.
The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.
I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me.
How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.

What verse stayed with you today, and why?
Prayer
Father, the words of Your Son are spirit and life. By Your word You gave me new life, and by it You keep cleansing me. Tonight Your law means more to me than thousands of pieces of gold and silver, and it tastes sweeter than honey. Hide Your word deep in my heart while I sleep, so I wake up remembering it. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
