Evening Prayer for June 27

About 2–3 minutes · 9 Scripture passages (KJV)

Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

God’s Word

Enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.

Today’s takeaway: Peace with God comes by faith in Jesus, not by anything you do.

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me; and he shall make peace with me.

Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace

Being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ

A man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ

By the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight

By him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Before you pray

Are you trying to be at peace with God by your own effort, or through Christ?

Prayer

LORD, do not enter into judgment with Your servant, for no one living is righteous before You. You invite me to take hold of Your strength and make peace with You. I am justified by faith, not by the works of the law, and through Jesus I am justified from all things. I have peace with God tonight. Thanks be to You for the victory. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
