Evening Prayer for June 17

About 2–3 minutes · 7 Scripture passages (KJV)

Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

God’s Word

All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee.

Today’s takeaway: End the day by blessing God and remembering all His benefits.

Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits

I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.

Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips

My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Prayer

LORD, all Your works praise You, and Your saints bless You. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Your lovingkindness is better than life, so my lips will praise You. My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior. You are worthy of glory and honor. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
