Evening Prayer for July 24

About 2–3 minutes · 8 Scripture passages (KJV)

Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

God’s Word

He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief

Today’s takeaway: Nothing is beyond God's power, so bring your requests to Him in faith like Abraham.

Have faith in God. … whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

He that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead

Being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

Is any thing too hard for the LORD?

With God all things are possible.

Lord, Increase our faith.

Before you pray

What is too hard for you tonight that is not too hard for God?

Prayer

LORD, is anything too hard for You? Abraham was fully persuaded that You could do what You promised. I bring You tonight the thing that feels impossible to me. With You all things are possible. I believe that You are, and that You reward those who seek You. Increase my faith while I sleep. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
