Morning Prayer for October 15

About 2–3 minutes · 9 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

God is my defence.

Today’s takeaway: The LORD is your rock, fortress, and shield, so trust Him when enemies rise.

The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.

When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

We may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.

Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.

For thy name’s sake lead me, and guide me.

Prayer

LORD, You are my defense, my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer. You are my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in You, and I am helped. When the enemy comes in like a flood, Your Spirit will lift up a standard against him. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, You surround me. For Your name's sake, lead me and guide me today. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
