Morning Prayer for May 3
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Today’s takeaway: God calls you to live wholly for Him, and He works in you to make it possible.
I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.
Ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.
Ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
Ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power
Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity
Be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.
Whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Prayer
Holy God, You are the Almighty God, and You tell me to walk before You and be perfect. You have set me apart for Yourself. I was bought with a price, so let me glorify You in body and spirit. I want to be found without spot and blameless. Search me, O God, and know my heart. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
