Morning Prayer for March 30
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide
Today’s takeaway: Take time today to think on God's works and His Word, and let them feed your soul.
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night
My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips: When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.
Prayer
O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer, let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart please You today. Isaac went out into the field to meditate; give me a quiet moment like that before the day gets loud. When I look at the sky You made, I wonder why You care for me at all. Keep Your word in my mouth and on my mind, and satisfy my soul in You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
