My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

The fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness

Today’s takeaway: Be good and merciful to everyone, even enemies, as your Father is good to all.

Be ye … followers of God, as dear children

Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

The fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth

After that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour

The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.

He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

Prayer

Father, You are good to all, and Your tender mercies are over all Your works. You send rain on the just and the unjust. Make me Your follower, as a dear child. Help me love my enemies, bless those who curse me, and do good to those who hate me. Let me be merciful today, as You are merciful. Your kindness appeared to me in Christ; let it appear through me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
