Morning Prayer for January 29

About 2–3 minutes · 9 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

Thou God seest me

Today’s takeaway: God sees and knows you completely, which is both sobering and deeply comforting.

O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.

The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.

The ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings.

God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

The eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.

Jesus … knew all men, And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.

Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee.

Prayer

O God, You see me. You search me and know me: when I sit, when I rise, every word before I say it. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me. Your eyes are in every place, and You weigh every path I take. Let me live today as someone seen by You, not to be afraid, but to be honest and glad. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
