Morning Prayer for February 8

About 2–3 minutes · 9 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends

Today’s takeaway: Jesus calls you His friend and shares with you the secrets of His kingdom.

The LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do

It is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven

God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

Even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory

Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.

The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, You call me Your friend, not Your servant, and You tell me what the Father has told You. I want to walk through today as Your friend. Speak to me in Your word this morning, and help me listen for You in the middle of my work and conversations. Let me not rush past You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
