Morning Prayer for February 7
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
When thou hast eaten and art full, … thou shalt bless the LORD thy God for the good land which he hath given thee. … Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God
Today’s takeaway: When God has blessed you, do not forget to come back and thank Him.
One of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
Every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks
The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, … Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; … who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies
Prayer
LORD my God, when I have eaten and am full, help me not to forget You. Like the one healed leper, I want to turn back and give thanks. Every good thing is received with thanksgiving and made holy by Your word and prayer. Your blessing makes rich and adds no sorrow. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget none of His benefits. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
