Morning Prayer for February 19

About 2–3 minutes · 11 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

The LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

Today’s takeaway: Trust God rather than your own understanding, because true wisdom comes from Him.

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise

That no flesh should glory in his presence.

The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

Thy word have I hid in … heart, that I might not sin against thee.

All bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth.

Never man spake like this man.

Of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption

Prayer

LORD, wisdom comes from Your mouth, and knowledge and understanding with it. I trust You with all my heart this morning and lean not on my own understanding. Your foolishness is wiser than human wisdom. You chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise. When I lack wisdom today, I will ask, and You will give. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
