Morning Prayer for February 10

About 2–3 minutes · 7 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light

Today’s takeaway: Ask God to open your eyes so you can see His glory shining in Jesus.

The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.

I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

We all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image … even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

The God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: … that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints

Prayer

Lord Jesus, You are the light of the world. When my eye is single, fixed on You, my whole life is full of light. The natural mind cannot see the things of Your Spirit, so open my eyes to see wonderful things in Your Word. As I look at Your glory today, change me into Your likeness, from glory to glory. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
