Morning Prayer for February 1

About 2–3 minutes · 9 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

Whom having not seen, ye love

Today’s takeaway: You have not seen Jesus, yet you can love and trust Him, since His love came first.

We walk by faith, not by sight

We love him, because he first loved us.

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise

God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory

If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, I have never seen You, and yet I love You. I walk by faith, not by sight, and this morning faith is enough. I love You because You first loved me. God is love, and I have believed it. Christ in me is the hope of glory. Let that hidden love be seen in the way I treat people today. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
