Morning Prayer for December 7
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
He hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Today’s takeaway: Jesus took your sin and gave you His righteousness, so you are free from condemnation.
The LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
As by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
After that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
Prayer
Holy Father, You made Jesus, who knew no sin, to be sin for me, so that I might be made the righteousness of God in Him. You laid on Him the iniquity of us all. By His obedience many are made righteous. Your kindness and love appeared, and You saved me by Your mercy. There is no condemnation for me in Christ. He is the LORD my righteousness. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
