Morning Prayer for August 1
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
God’s Word
The fruit of the Spirit is love
Today’s takeaway: Faith is how you receive God's gift, and real faith shows itself in love.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God
Without faith it is impossible to please him
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
Whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
Faith which worketh by love.
Faith without works is dead?
We walk by faith, not by sight
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
Prayer
Lord, I believe; help my unbelief. I was saved by grace through faith, and even that faith is Your gift. Without faith I cannot please You. I have not seen Jesus, yet I love Him and rejoice in Him. Let my faith work by love today, because faith without works is dead. I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Amen.
Blessing
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
