Morning Prayer for April 25

About 2–3 minutes · 10 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

Thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Today’s takeaway: Jesus came to save you from your sins, and His forgiveness is complete.

Ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins

That we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness

He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him

He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. … the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Thus it behoved Christ to suffer, … that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations

He appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, … to give repentance

Through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

Your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, Your very name means that You save Your people from their sins. My sins are forgiven for Your name's sake. Now I do not want to keep living as if they still own me. Show me one sin I keep returning to, and give me strength today to turn from it and live for righteousness. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
