Morning Prayer for April 22

About 2–3 minutes · 10 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish: he shall offer it of his own voluntary will … And he shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.

Today’s takeaway: Jesus gave His life willingly as the perfect offering, and in Him you are accepted.

God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering

Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

We are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

A ransom for many.

No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again.

I will love them freely

The Son of God, … loved me, and gave himself for me.

He hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

He hath made us accepted in the beloved.

Prayer

Father, You provided the Lamb Yourself. Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world, the ransom for many. No one took His life from Him; He laid it down of His own accord. He loved me and gave Himself for me. He was made sin for me so that I might be made righteous in Him. Because of Him I am accepted in the Beloved. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
