Evening Prayer for March 31
Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

What communion hath light with darkness?
Today’s takeaway: Walk in the light of God's Word and love, because you are a child of light.
Men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
Darkness hath blinded his eyes.
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
The dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty.
Love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.
The path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.
I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
Ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light

Prayer
Lord Jesus, You came as a light into the world so that no one who believes in You would stay in darkness. I am a child of the day, not of the night. Show me any place where I have made peace with darkness, and help me turn from it. Let my path shine brighter and brighter until the perfect day. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
