Evening Prayer for April 20
Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.
God’s Word
Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus
Today’s takeaway: In every fire and flood Jesus is with you, so you have no reason to fear.
It is I; be not afraid.
When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. For I am the LORD thy God, … thy Saviour
Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
God with us.
Thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
If any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

Prayer
Lord Jesus, when the disciples were terrified on the sea, You said, It is I; be not afraid. There are waves in my life tonight. Speak that word to me. Even in the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil, because You are with me and You are praying for me. Let me sleep in that peace. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
