Morning Prayer for December 2

About 2–3 minutes · 8 Scripture passages (KJV)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

God’s Word

Ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.

Today’s takeaway: The Holy Spirit lives in you as your Teacher, reminding you of all Jesus said.

God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power

It pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell

Of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

Thou anointest my head with oil

The anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

The Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

The Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Prayer

Father, You anointed Jesus with the Holy Spirit and with power, and from His fullness I have received grace upon grace. You have anointed my head with oil. The anointing I received from You abides in me and teaches me. Your Spirit, the Comforter, helps me when I do not know how to pray. Let me live today in the strength of that anointing. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
