Evening Prayer for June 3
Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.
God’s Word
I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.
Today’s takeaway: Walk with God and keep growing in grace, even though you have not arrived yet.
Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: … I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
Grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
We all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

In what small way did you grow in grace this week?
Prayer
Father, Enoch walked with You, and one day You simply took him home. I want to walk with You like that. Help me grow in grace and in the knowledge of my Savior. As I look at His glory, change me into His image, little by little. Jesus prayed that You would keep me from evil. Keep me tonight. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
