Evening Prayer for August 8
Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.
God’s Word
Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Today’s takeaway: Anyone who calls on the Lord will be saved, so bring Him your requests with confidence.
Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.
What will ye that I shall do unto you? They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened. So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.
If ye … being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
I will put my spirit within you
Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel
This is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Prayer
Lord Jesus, whoever calls on Your name will be saved, and You never cast out anyone who comes. You asked the blind men what they wanted. Tonight I tell You plainly what I want from You. The Father gives the Holy Spirit to those who ask. I ask for Him, and for Your help with what I face tomorrow. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pray as Jesus taught us
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
