Evening Prayer for April 11

About 2–3 minutes · 8 Scripture passages (KJV)

Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

God’s Word

Teach me thy way, O LORD

Today’s takeaway: Ask God to teach you His way, because Jesus Himself is the way to the Father.

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way. The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.

I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Having … boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; And having an high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith

Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD

All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

Before you pray

Where do you need the Lord to show you the way tomorrow?

Prayer

O LORD, teach me Your way. You promised to instruct me and guide me with Your eye. You are good and upright, and You guide the humble in what is right. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and through Him I have a new and living way to You. All Your paths are mercy and truth. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray as Jesus taught us

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.

Blessing

I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
